  • Day 1: After breakfast, we collect you from hotel and proceed to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. This park is especially known for the large amount of elephants and giraffe. Animals from the surrounding area congregate along the Tarangire River which winds its way through the park. The park has a large number of baobab trees and is quite scenic. We pause for a box lunch inside the park, then continue with the game drive. Late afternoon, we depart and travel towards the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Drive hrs: 3-4hrs

    Meals: box lunch and dinner

Day 2: After breakfast, we drive to Serengeti National Park. This drive takes us through Ngorongoro Conservation Area (not through the crater but in the highlands). Once we arrive at the Serengeti, we proceed on a game drive until evening. Relaxation, dinner and overnight will be at campsite/lodge/tented camp.

    Drive hrs:3-4 hrs

    Meals:Breakfast, box lunch and dinner

Day 3: Full day game viewing in the Serengeti. We will get a chance to travel to wherever the best game viewing at the moment happens to be. In the evening we will go to our evening’s accommodations for relaxation, dinner and overnight rest. Depending on the time of the year, this night will either be at the same accommodations as the previous night, or at a different location. This will be determined well before your trip date.

Drive hrs: will vary according to time of the year

    Meals:Breakfast, box lunch and dinner

Day 4: After breakfast, we set out to explore of the Serengeti and view the wildlife while we make our way eventually out of the park and back into Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we will have dinner and overnight at campsite/lodge/tented camp. Note: Overnights are not permitted inside of the crater. All accommodations are outside the crater, most are near the crater rim. This is a cold location since there is some altitude (7,500 ft or 2286m). Even a knit cap and light gloves may feel welcome since it also tends to be windy.

Drive hrs: 3-7 hrs (depending on where overnight on day 3 will be spent)

Meals: brunch & dinner or breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 5: After breakfast, we will descend into Ngorongoro Crater. The concentration of animals inside of the crater is quite high and the size of the crater is such that in half day, all can be seen. At that time, we ascend out of the crater and make our way to Lake Eyasi for a cultural tour.

    Drive hrs: 2-3 hrs

Meals: Breakfast, box lunch and dinner

Day 6: Very early morning (before sunrise) as we join the Hadzabe tribe on a hunt. This tribe is very opportunistic, hunting anything from mice to giraffe by bow and arrow (poison tipped for the large game). They are also masters at gathering wild honey and foraging for edible roots. You can compare your archery skills and your ability to create fire without matches. Afterwards we will start our way back to Arusha/ Kilimanjaro Airport/Moshi where the itinerary ends.

    Drive hrs:3-4 hrs

    Meals: Breakfast,box lunch and dinner
