    Day 1; COLOMBO - SIGIRIYA

    Medicine & herbal garden - Stay ; 30 minutes

    Enjoy the Sri Lanka's world renowned spices at their source.Visit a spice garden,where smells of cinnamon,pepper,cardamom,nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age old industry of spice production,which attracted many an European and Asian merchants to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka.You will be getting a free 15 mins head massage too.

    Day 2; SIGIRIYA

    Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress; Stay - 2 hours

    Climb the 5th century AD rock fortress,Sigiriya,where the king Kasyapa ruled.Walk through the entrance framed by the paws of a lion that is quite appropriate for its name,'the Lion Rock',View the beautiful unfading murals that brought Sigiriya its fame.Climb the steep staircase to see the terraced gardens and still working cisterns.Walk through the tunnels leading to the palace as you get a feel for times long past.

    Minneriya National Park; Stay - 3 hours

    Shift to a 4x4 Jeep and get inside Minneriya National Park,Prepare to "GET WILD",Evening tour give you a chance to see mostly Birds like Peacock,Eagle,Pelicans,Parrots,Crane,Parakeet,Owl,Hornbill & etc..Can see about 20% of Elephant gathering.Also other animals like Deers,Wild Rabbits,Wild boar & rarely sloth bear or a Leopard if you are lucky.

    Day 3; SIGIRIYA - DAMBULLA - KANDY

    Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was built in the 16th century as the place o veneration and protection for Lord Buddha's sacred tooth.Walk through the beautifully embellished passageways and elaborately painted halls,done in red ,cream and black.Lounge against delicately carved pillars and get amazed by the beautiful golden statues.Get an unforgettable experience of history and art.

    Sorborn Gems & Jewellery Kandy- Stay: 1 hour

    Sri Lanka has been referred to as RatnaDvipa,island of gems from ages past.The moniker is well deserved for the abundance and variety of gem deposits the island is blessed with.Famed for excellent Sri Lankan blue sapphires,no less beautiful are the cat's eyes,Alexandrites,rubies,star stones and various other precious and semi-precious gems found here.We take you on a gem tour covering a gem museum where you will learn about the gem industry in Sri Lanka through an informative film.see a mock-up of a gem pit where you may inspect the dazzling stones at close quarters using a loupe,learning to distinguish quality based on colour,size,lustre and the absence of imperfections.Finally you will see the stones being set in to jewellery.

    Kandy Lake Club- Cultural Dance Show; Stay - 1 hour

    See the Cultural Dance Show in the evening.The Kandy Cultural Show gives an opportunity to experience some of the traditions of Sri Lanka.Enjoy this hour long extravaganza as some of the most popular art forms of the island take to the stage.Get wowed by fire dancers and sword dancers.Watch the colourful Kandyan dancers take to the air to the thrumming primal beat of the drums.

    Day 4; KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA

    Royal Botanical Garden; Stay - 3 hours

    Visit the famous Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya,which were formed in the early 19th century.Walk through the vast area containing over 4000 species of plants.Enjoy the learning more about the orchids,spices and medicinal plants.Wander down avenues shaded by large and rare trees,or bordered by flowering plants.Enjoy seeing the cannonball tree,walking over the wobbly suspension bridge and through the short hedge mazes or even climbing the twisty trees that make wonderful jungle gyms.

    Pedro Tea Factory; Stay - 45 minutes

    Tea Factory and a plantation where you would see how the world's famous "Ceylon Tea" is manufactured.In 1824 a tea plant was brought to Ceylon by the British from China and was planted in the Royal Botanical Gardens in peradeniya for non-commercial purposes.James Taylor was a British citizen who introduced commercial tea plantation in Sri Lanka(Ceylon).He arrived to Sri Lanka in 1852 and settled down in Loolecondera estate in Kandy.Today even people who have never heard of Sri Lanka are familiar with Ceylon tea,which is known for its quality .You will be shown how Ceylon Tea are made inside a Factory with tasting various cups of tea.

    Day 5; NUWARA ELIYA

    Nuwara Eliya; Stay - 3 hours

    Nuwara Eliya is set in the heart of tea-country is a beautiful town where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside,with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne.Well-kept lawns with hedges,an Anglican church,a famous golf course and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia.Situated 6,200 feet above sea level,the air is cool and fresh-a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

    Lover's Leap Falls; Stay - 1 hour

    This beautiful 30 m high Lovers Leap fall in Nuwara Eliya is incipient of the streams and brooks of Sri Lanka's highest mountain,the Piduruthalagala (2524 m).It flows over hard granite ledges and the water is collected in a tank and used for drinking.In dry spells,the flow is languid the fall is said to derive its name from the tragic tale of a prince,who while hunting in the jungle,lost his way.He was rescued by a beautiful damsel,and the two became inseparable lovers.But the match was not to the liking of the prince's subjects,so the two decided to immortalise their love by leaping from the top of the fall to their death.Superstitious villagers avoid the fall at night.The fall is situated in Havaeliya,2 km from Nuwara Eliya, Nuwara Eliya District.Many hotels and guest-houses can be found in Nuwara Eliya. The water fall lies about 3 km from the Nuwara Eliya town.Once you go through the winding roads up to the lane which leads to the waterfall,you can either take a 3 wheeler which will take you halfway to the falls and from there its a fairly even gravel path to the falls.The distance is approx 250 m.Else you could walk from the road.Its about 400 m uphill walk along a narrow tar road and you can to take a shortcut through a tea estate.This is a fairly steep climb of about 400 m but little more adventurous.

    Gregory Lake; Stay - 1 hour

    Gregory Lake was created in 1873 by the British era Governor at the time.Sir William Gregory,supposedly for the purpose of providing electricity.However the lake was mainly used for leisure and recreation after it was built.At its peak of fame,Gregory Lake was the most prominent attraction in the area and was used a place to relax by many visitors.

    Day 7; BENTOTA - COLOMBO

    Madu River; Stay - 1 hour

    This one hour tour takes you on a boat safari through the primitive depths of the mangrove marshes in Madu River.Traverse the dark and dangerous caverns formed by the thick mangrove forests;interspersed with bright open stretches of water.Learn more about mangroves and their positive effect on ecology.Get a chance to see crocodiles,water snakes,tree snakes and wild boars in their natural habitat.Watch the cormorants;storks and many other avian life hunt for their prey in swift flow of Madu river.View the pots for catching prawn and shrimp left in some of the shallower areas of the river.Visit the old Buddhist temple on one of the islands that dot the river liberally.Stop by another of the islands;which are the source of the cinnamon industry of Sri Lanka.Purchase some fresh,high quality cinnamon to take home as a souvenir.Make sure to visit the outdoor fish massage parlor,where you can dangle your feet into a fenced part of the river to get treated by the massage fish.

    Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project; Stay - 1 hour

    Enjoy visiting the Kosgoda Turtle Care Centre as part of Kingfisher's South Sea tour experience.Get a chance to see sea turtles of various species in the different stages of their lives.Do your part in conservation by donating for the needs of the turtles.Kingfisher can assist you with one-day tours or even longer volunteering stays.

    Colombo; Stay - 2 hours
