    Day 4: Morning Flight to Nevsehir and Enjoy the Classics of Cappadocia

    Visiting Cappadocia is like stepping into a Dali painting. Formed in millions of years with the eruptions from now-extinct volcanoes covered the plateau with ash, and erosion has transformed the landscape into a surrealist vista of cones and columns. Adapting to their environment, the inhabitants carved homes and churches, fortresses, even entire cities above and underground, out of the caves.

    Home to some of the best preserved rock-cut churches in the region, Goreme Open Air Museum is one of the best examples of the monastery life practiced between 4th to 13th centuries C.E.

    Day 5: Kaymakli Underground City & Uchisar Tour

    Stop At: Kaymakli Underground City, Derinkuyu Turkey
    Another UNESCO site, Kaymakli Underground City, will be your first visit after breakfast at the hotel.

    Starting from 7th-century B.C.E, numerous underground cities had been built in Cappadocia strategically to protect themselves against any possible invasions. Most had everything inside and was big enough to shelter thousands of people.

    Planned as six floors initially, you will be visiting the living rooms, wineries, storages, and other parts of this fantastic site.

    Stop At: Uchisar, Uchisar, Cappadocia
    Nestled at the highest point of the region, Uchisar is a beautiful town with a monstrous, one single piece of volcanic formation, turned into a castle.

    Today, most floors are not accessible, but you will enjoy photographing this giant landmark from different angles.

    Day 6: Flight to Izmir and Full Day Tour of Ephesus

    A great church in Ephesus commissioned by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century.

    The basilica is dedicated to John, whose tomb was believed to be here.

    Called “the son of thunder” by Jesus, John was one of the twelve apostles and writer of the fourth gospel.

    Pamukkale (aka Hierapolis) is an ancient site of well-being with a surreal landscape of thermal pools, waterfalls, and terraces created by the calcite-laden waters.

    The ancient site of Hierapolis was founded by the king of Pergamon Eumenes II in the 2nd century, and since then, it has served as a magnificent health center.
