  • Day 1: Yerevan

    Pass By: Zvartnots International Airport, Yerevan, Armenia

    Day 2: Yerevan: Matenadaran - Ararat Brandy - Megerian Carpets Factory - City Tour

    Stop At: Matenadaran - The Museum of Ancient Manuscripts, 53 Mesrop Mashots Avenue Kentron District, Yerevan 0009 Armenia
    Meet the beginning of your interesting day in one of the oldest cities in the world. The guide will be waiting for you at the lobby of the hotel to start a day full of discoveries. A city tour in Yerevan, where we will uncover the main landmarks of the colorful city. Next, we will visit the scientific and research center of Matenadaran, where numerous ancient manuscripts and books are preserved and demonstrated. The huge complex is located on a hillside area of Mashtots Avenue, where a splendid panorama of the city will attract you. Right after we finish our observation mission in Matenadaran, we will head to the Megerian carpet factory, where numerous rugs exhibited in the museum of the factory represent a long history of Armenian rug-making art. Here, we will have a traditional lunch, with a delicious variety of Armenian ancient cuisine. After a tasty meal, we will continue to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and museum. In the evening you will be invited for a stroll through the city.

    Day 3: Yerevan − Amberd − Aragats – Yerevan

    Stop At: Amberd Fortress, Byurakan Armenia
    Wake up and prepare for a day full of adventures. First, we will cover the 11th-century Fortress of Amberd, with picturesque valleys in the background located on the slopes of the highest mountain of Armenia, Aragats. We will pass to Vahramashen church, situated next to the fortress, where we will have a short lunch break on a lovely picnic spot. Now it is time to hike the southern peak (3888 m above sea level) of the highest top in Armenia − Aragats (4090 m above sea level). On our way to the southern peak of the mount, we will unfold Lake Qari's beauty with its cool and fresh water. As we reach the peak, you will be astonished by the fascinating view of the sky that will seem to be closer and of the mesmerizing view of Mount Ararat. Depending on your wishes, we can also hike up to the East Summit (3650 m above sea level). In the evening, we will drive back to our hotel in Yerevan.

    Day 4: Yerevan – Lake Sevan – Geghard – Basalt Organs – Garni – Yerevan

    Stop At: Lake Sevan, Armenia
    At the beginning of the day, we will drive to the largest lake in Armenia − Sevan. Then, the tour will continue to the Sevan peninsula, where you will be awarded black-coloured ancient Monastery Sevanavank and breathtaking views over the top of the peninsula. Later, we will proceed to the monastery of Geghard (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The part of the monastery was cut out of the rock, which grants the visitors marvelous picture of Azat Valley. The trip will continue onwards to Garni, where we will reveal nature-made Basalt organs. Later, we will hike up to the Pagan Temple of Garni and admire the magnificent natural scenery from the top. At the end of the day, we will drive back to your hotel in Yerevan.

    Day 5: Yerevan - Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank − Yerevan

    Stop At: Khor Virap, Highway 11 - Near the village of Pokr Vedi Artashat, Lusarat 0612 Armenia
    Today, we will head to the southern part of the country. The first stop will be at Khor Virap Monastery, standing high in the plain valley of Ararat. We will be gifted a flawless view of the Mount Ararat on a clear day. Next, we will drive to the wine-making center of the country − Areni. Here, we will have a traditional Armenian lunch and taste some delicious local wine. Afterwards, we will drive to Amaghu Gorge, which is always twined with Grand Canyon, where one of the most beautiful monasteries called Noravank is situated. This is a perfect location for taking photos and admiring the red cliffs. Later, we will return to Yerevan and enjoy our leisure time.

    Day 6: Yerevan – Zvartnots − Etchmiadzin – Aknashen – Yerevan

    Stop At: Zvartnots Temple, Yerevan-Vagharshapat Highway Near the Echmiadzin Monastery Complex, Vagharshapat 1101 Armenia
    After breakfast, we will depart to the Armavir Province, where we will discover the main points of interest of this region. First, we will have a stop at the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral, which once used to be a circle-shaped architectural masterpiece. Later, we will visit the spiritual city of Armenia − Etchmiadzin. We will take a tour inside the religious complex of the city, where the oldest church of the country is situated. Afterwards, we will proceed to Aknashen Village, where hospitable people will be waiting for us to have traditional lunch consisting of unique Armenian dishes, we will also have an opportunity to take part in the process of baking Armenian bread − "lavash".
