  • Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Khudi (800 M/2624ft), 7- 8 hours,

    Pass By: Besisahar, Besisahar, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
    Besisahar literally translates to "the town at the base of a hill" and is the district headquarters of Lamjung district.

    Pass By: Trishuli Hydropower Dam, Bidur 44900, Nepal
    Trishuli Hydropower Station, located at Trishuli, Nuwakot, previously with installed capacity of 21 MW consisting of 7 units each of 3 MW commissioned in 1967 AD and developed jointly by Government of India and Government of Nepal at a cost of INR 140 million. It was rehabilitated in 1995 AD and upgraded to 24 MW with 6 units each of 3.5 MW and one unit of 3 MW.

    Day 2: Trek from Khudi to Sirung (2,200 M/7217ft), 6-7 hours,

    Stop At: Siurung 33600, Nepal
    An ethnic Tamang settlement of Taranche. We admire close-up views of Ngadi Chuli and Manaslu mountains from Sirung.

    Day 3: Trek from Sirung to Jagat (1,300 M/4265ft), 6-7 hours,

    Terraces of the village and hit forest, ferns and woodland.

    Day 4: Trek from Jagat to Dharapani (1,960 M/6,430ft), 7-8 hours,

    Pass By: Annapurna Region, Annapurna Region, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
    The trail from Jagat descends until it reaches the river and then continues through a lush forest. Further ascent leads to sharp-edged cliff facing the river bank – En route, Chyamje comes into picture amidst the glorious backdrop of towering Annapurna mountain ranges. After crossing a suspension bridge, we climb steeply towards the slippery and physically challenging path to Sattale. On treading along a succession of rock-strewn trails, we descend to a grassy riverbank that leads to Tal. As we walk away from Tal, the path becomes rugged and winding. Then we approach steeply-forested village of Karte. Meandering along the waterfalls and cliffs, we finally reach Dharapani after crossing a suspension bridge. Overnight in Dharapani.

    Day 5: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2710 M/8,891ft), 5-6 hours

    Pass By: Annapurna Region, Annapurna Region, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
    Throughout the trek we will have amazing views of the snowcapped mountains including Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV and we also come across small hot springs where we can dip in and soothe our aching muscles. Overnight in Chame.

    Day 6: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3,300 M/10,826ft), 5-6 hours,

    Pass By: Annapurna Region, Annapurna Region, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
    From Chame , a steep and narrow path through a very dense forest will bring us to the dramatic curved rock face, rising 1500m from the river. This is probably the steepest part of the Marshyangdi Valley – so steep that the trail is carved into the vertical rock. After passing this last bit of rock, the valley opens up with majestic vistas. And right where the valley widens stands the Paungda Danda, a massive sloping rock face that rises over 5,000ft above the trail. We continue walking for a while before reaching Lower Pisang where we spend the night.

    Day 7: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3,520 M/11,584ft), 6-7 hours,

    Pass By: Manang, Manang, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
    There are two routes to Manang and we follow the trail that takes us to Upper Pisang via Ghyaru. This trail guarantees excellent views of the beautiful landscape and the mighty mountains including Annapurna and Pisang. We begin to notice a contrast in the landscape and vegetation from today. The cold and dry climate also creates a much harsher environment. A visit to Barga monastery , the largest monastery in the entire district of Manang will be memorable. Overnight at Manang.

    Day 8: Acclimatization day at Manang (3,520 M/11,548ft),

    Stop At: Manang, Manang, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
    In order to keep fit on the trails that follow, we keep ourselves busy today with a short hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. If we have the energy, we can even hike to Braga Village where we can visit the Himalayan Rescue Association( HRA) from where we can get some information about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)and other related matters. Overnight in Manang.

    Day 9: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110 M/13,484ft), 3-4 hours,

    Pass By: Annapurna Region, Annapurna Region, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
    The trail crosses a stream, climbs to a village of Tenki and continues to climb out of the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola. The trail follows this valley northward, passing a few pastures and a scrub of juniper trees, as it steadily gains elevation. The trail further passes near the small village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trailhead. Now the trail goes through meadows where horses and yaks graze. After crossing a small river on a wooden bridge, the trail passes an ancient old Mani wall in a pleasant meadow and then reaches another small village of Yak Kharka. Overnight at Yak Karka.

    Day 10: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600 M/15,091ft), 3-4 hours,

    Today’s trek is an uphill walk to Thorang Phedi. After some time we cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. We ascend furthermore and pass through towering cliffs before reaching Thorang Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. On this trip we are rewarded with the best views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak and Mt. Khatungkan. The word Phedi in Nepalese is referred to as the foot of a mountain. Overnight in Thorong Phedi.

    Day 11: Trek from Throng Phedi all way to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) via Thorong-La Pass (5416 M/17,769ft), 7-8 hours,

    Pass By: Thorong La Pass, Manang - 02, Thorong la, Manang 33500 Nepal
    Today is the most important day for this whole trek – Crossing Thorong La , one of the highest passes in the world. We will be crossing the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath) which is the easiest and safest direction. We get up around three in the morning and start walk up the mountain. When we finally make it to the top, we realize that our journey was worth it. We can take a few photos before heading to Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La . Overnight in Muktinath.

    Day 12: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2,720 M/8,923ft), 5-6 hrs,

    Pass By: Jomsom, Jomsom, Dhaulagiri Zone, Western Region
    Jomsom, also known as Dzong-Sampa or New Fort, is the centre of Gharpajhong Gaunpalika and former independent village development committee at an altitude of about 2,700 m in Mustang District, Nepal. It extends over both the banks of the Kali Gandaki River.

    Day 13: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara (850m/ 2,788ft), 25 minutes

    Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake. On the eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centers and restaurants. In the city’s south, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.

    Day 14: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,350 M/4,429ft), 7-8 hours or you can take 25 minutes flight instead.

    Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, is set in a valley surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. At the heart of the old city’s mazelike alleys is Durbar Square, which becomes frenetic during Indra Jatra, a religious festival featuring masked dances.
