Stop At: Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Church Square, Panjim 403001 India

Start your tour from one of the best churches of Goa. The colonial Portuguese Baroque style church was first built in 1541 as a chapel on a hillside overlooking the city of Panjim. This church houses the ancient bell that was removed from the Augustinian ruins of the Church of Our Lady of Grace (Nossa Senhora da Graça) in the once famed city of Old Goa. This bell is considered to be the second-largest of its kind in Goa, surpassed only by the Golden Bell which resides in the Sé Cathedral in Old Goa.

    Duration: 25 minutes

Stop At: Archbishop's Palace, Althino, Panaji, Goa 403001, India

This was the residence of the Archbishops. It was built before the Se Catedral. Even when the Se was not completed, Pyrard de Laval found this palace to be inhabited by Archbishop D. Fr. Aleixo de Menezes. A two-storeyed building marked by simplicity. It is linked to the Se Catedral and Convent of S. Francisco de Assis.

Stop At: St Sebastian's Chapel, Fontainhas (quarter), Altinho, Panaji, Goa 403001, India

The next church site has a special place in Goa’s history. At a distance of 2 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, Chapel of St. Sebastian is situated in Panjim City. Built in 1818, this chapel is dedicated to St. Sebastian. In earlier days, people were troubled with the disease of pests and plagues, which was very frequent in Salcette area. They turned for help to St Sebastian who treated them through his mediation and miraculous interventions.

Stop At: Fontainhas (quarter), Altinho, Panaji, Goa 403001, India

It is an old Latin part of Goa. It maintains its Portuguese influence, particularly through its architecture, which includes narrow and picturesque winding streets like those found in many European cities, old villas and buildings with projecting balconies painted in the traditional tones of pale yellow, green, or blue, and roofs made of red-colored tiles. Fontainhas' heritage ambiance represents the traditional Portuguese influence in the area.
