Electric Scooter- Self guided Tour - Queenstown

The latest in E-Scooter technology brings our Mi 365 scooters to Queenstown. It's full of handy specs including 30KM range and top speeds of 28KM/h, bright front LED light, brake light, phone connectivity, cruise control, and rugged tyres. These scooters are easy to use, lightweight and are plenty of fun to keep the whole family happy (15 y.o and up).

We recommend cruising around Queenstown's gardens and down the Frankton track but Queenstown is your playground so it's up to you where you go explore. There are several cafes, restaurants and a brewery alongside our magnificence lake who can cater to your desires. We suggest taking your time along the lake as there are plenty of opportunities for photos of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains. You will not be disappointed by some of the breath-taking views.

If you do want to explore further then heading around to the Hilton hotel is a great choice. Accompany it with a Central Otago wine and wait for an hourly boat ride ($9pp) back which will cater to your lightweight scooter and bring you back into the heart of Queenstown.

Even more time? Then head around to Jack Point through Queenstown's most affluent area and catch a speed boat back off the pier to end your perfect day. ($9 ride, check hourly trips before)

We do an optional pick-up service too for a small price if you find yourself too far out and in need of a lift.

These E-scooters can be pushed like a push scooter if need be.

For all other sights-seeing, please ask on the day.

When the scooter runs out of power, we won't be called out to charge it again. Additional charges for shuttle hires. Ride with a helmet and within the NZ road rules. It is crucial that the scooters aren't ridden fast through the town centre as foot traffic is too high. Avoid going off marked tracks and stay clear of the lake. Must be 15 or older. If under 18, you must be present with a parent or guardian. I.D and credit card required in case of accident or damage.

Helmets must be worn at all times.

Scooting through our town center can be dangerous. Watch out for shoppers coming around corners and slow down until you've met the tracks.

Drinking alcohol and riding can be dangerous. Treat this transport as if you would a car.

Don't take the scooters close to the water as they're waterproof.

Slow down for uneven terrain (tree roots, bumps, etc.)

Be courteous to others- Slow down when others are present and use the bell to notify others of your presence.

Be careful when around dogs, kids and runners with headphones.

No jumps, tricks or unnecessary skidding.

When parked up always use the kickstand. (do not lay down on the ground as this may scratch the frame).

Remember to put the kickstand up when setting off.

Find suitable parking on track stops or at lunch stops. Some businesses have a designated space for them so always ask their staff.

Stick to the mapped paths and avoid main roads.

Wear warm clothes (gloves, hat, windproof coat) as the winds can cause an unexpected chill on certain days.

4-metre breaking distance in mind.

Two hands on the handle at all times.

Sunglasses and sun cream is advised on high UV days.

Abid by NZ road rules. Stay on the left at all times.

Not advised if you have neck problems, back problems or are pregnant.

  • Drop Offs

On the day of hire the scooters will be dropped off to the customer's door. Queenstown location only. Ring if unsure.

    Pickups

Most will take their scooters back to drop off but here are the alternatives.

Just a simple text at the end of the day to let us know where we can pick up the scooters and we will collect all your gear at your convenience. Shuttle services from anywhere in our region are also possible at a small fee and can be added on at any time if the weather turns bad or fatigue kicks in. We suggest giving our team an idea of your route so we can estimate return times to avoid delays. Alternatively, if you're unable to keep in touch and have prearranged plans, we can agree on a location to leave the scooters with the locks provided. Simple!

  • Taxi fare if required.
