    After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the mountains, plants and wildlife of Wilpena Pound, a natural amphitheater of mountains. Wilpena is a bushwalker’s dream, so take the opportunity to explore the peaks, trails and famous gorges, including Bunyeroo and Brachina gorges. The gorges’ geological formations take you on a trip through time, made up of some of the oldest rocks and fossils in the world. While walking, you might spot kangaroos, emus and wedge-tailed eagles.
