Leaving the city of Athens behind us, we take to road to Peloponnese Region, passing by the breathtaking Corinth Canal and moving towards to the Historical Ancient Corinth.

    Our first stop the Corinth Canal.You will have time to walk across on a pedestrian bridge to admire the canal closer.

    Ancient Corinth was one of the largest and most important cities of Greece, with a population of 90,000 in 400 BC. The Romans demolished Corinth in 146 BC, built a new city in its place in 44 BC, and later made it the provincial capital of Greece. The site located at the foot of the hill includes the Roman Agora of Corinth, the temple of god Apollo and a small museum.

    The Temple of Apollo was built upon a Temple Hill, which was an outcropping of natural rock, which allowed for a sturdy platform on which the temple could be built. The Temple of Apollo dominated Ancient Corinth.

    Historically the city was dominated by the hill of Acrocorinth, and the old Castle, the oldest and largest castle in southern Greece.

    The Archaeological Museum of Nemea is a museum in Nemea, Corinthia, Greece. It was constructed by the University of California and given to the Greek State in 1984. The museum is located at the entrance to the Archaeological site of Nemea. Exhibits finds from this site and the surrounding areas, from Cooper Age (Chalcolithic) to early Byzantine era.

    Nafplio is the capital of Argolis, seat of the Municipality of Nafplion and the main port of the eastern Peloponnese.In Greek mythology, Nauplius (“Seafarer”) founded Nauplia, where the modern city of Nafplion is situated. The city was made the official capital of Greece from 1828 to 1833 by Count Ioannis Kapodistrias. The historical center of Nafplion, the Old Town, is located on a small peninsula in the Argolic Gulf. Its features include history permeating it,stunning beauty with its elegant charm of cobblestones, the blooming bougainvilleas welcoming visitors, the well-preserved neoclassical mansions and the fact that it is the ultimate travel destination.

    Rising above the old part of town, the Akronafplia fortress is the oldest of Nafplio's three castles, although it is less interesting than the other two forts. The lower sections of the walls date back to the Bronze Age. Until the arrival of the Venetians, the town was restricted to within its walls.

    Castello dello Soglio was the first name of the Venetian castle, which along with Palamidi, is considered one of the landmarks of Nafplio. Nevertheless, the name that finally prevailed is Bourtzi, which in Turkish means « Island - Fort ».
