    We depart Brooke Street Pier (12 Franklin Wharf, Hobart) for all tours unless hotel/accommodation has been pre-arranged prior to departure. Please be @ this address 5-10 minutes before the departure time to ensure a smooth and timely departure.

    Stop At: Glaetzer Dixon Family Winemakers, 93 Brooker Ave, Hobart, Tasmania 7000 Australia

    One of the best change engines in the Australian wine making scene over the last decade, this producer seemly walks the tightrope of some crazy winemaking and-ultra classic wine styles. The Rêveur Pinot Noir means “dreamer” because of course the pinot dream is always just a dream! The names have a family connotation as you may know, and with the 2013 La Judith Shiraz simply being one of the best Australian shirazs I have ever tasted, I could swear i was tasting a La Meal Hermitage Syrah.

    The biodynamic champion of Tasmania, but not in a crazy religion style way, and is simply a way to make better grapes as well as have a healthier vineyard in general. Something i would support in my experience and add that biodynamic viticulture doesn’t magic wine - it is simply about making good wine and talking about what comes out of the bottle at the end of the day. Up to 4 wines tasted.

    Simply one of the best producers of wines in Tasmania, it has flown under the radar for some time now. When you have a limestone soil structure though, it isn’t going to be a secret for long. Especially if you name your top wine - Calcaire (Fr. meaning Limestone). One of the consistently best chardonnays that comes out of Tasmania.

    We arrive back to Brooke Street Pier unless hotel/accommodation has been requested. We can recommend multiple sites for dinner or leisure activities afterwards so please enquire of the driver or guide.
