  • Day 1: AIRPORT - NEGOMBO – Travel Time – Approx. 30 Mins

    Pass By: Negombo, Negombo, Western Province
    Arrival – Welcome to Sri Lanka! You will be met by our airport representative who will be holding a board with your name and waiting for you in the arrivals hall after you pass the baggage claims and customs. You may want to change some currency or purchase a local mobile Sim both of which can be done prior to starting your tour and the airport representative/chauffeur guide will help you with this.

    Afterwards proceed to Negombo.

    Negombo: “Little Rome” is an exciting city in the western coastal belt. Easily being invaded by different nationalities, Negombo defines a multicultural society. The city is of a vivid combination of a range of cultures mixed within. From the people living to the architectural appearance, Negombo has always homed multi nationalities and religions for people of all types. Aged monuments built during the Dutch Colonial period stands to date. The coast of the city had once been a Fort to the Dutch. The nightlife at the beach side in Negombo is splendid with more happenings than doings. Lively beaches being the entrance, a wide range of seafood cuisines are demanding along the hotels near the beach. From religion to cast, lifestyle to behaviors and edibles to fish equals Negombo.

    Day 2: NEGOMBO - ANURADAPURA – Travel Time – Approx. 4 Hrs

    Stop At: Anuradhapura, Anuradhapura, North Central Province
    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Habarana.

    En route visit Wilpattu National Park.

    Wilpattu National Park is located 30kms west of Anuradhapura and 26kms north of Puttalam. The park is 131,693 hectares in content. The unique feature of this park is the existence of “Villus” (natural lakes) Natural, sand rimmed water basins. Nearly sixty lakes and tanks are found spread throughout the park. Wilpattu is the largest and one of the oldest National Parks in Sri Lanka .It is among the top national parks world-renowned for its Leopard population, but its Leopard population is still not known. The Annual Rainfall is about 100mm while the annual average temperature is about 27.2 0 c. Thirty one species of mammals have been identified within the park, Elephants, Sloth bear, Leopard, Water buffalo, Sambhur, Spotted deer, Mongoose and Mouse.

    Afterwards continue to Anuradapura and transfer to the hotel.

    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Habarana.

    Day 3: ANURADAPURA – MINNERIYA - POLONNARUWA – Travel Time – Approx. 2 ½ Hrs

    Stop At: Minneriya National Park, Maradankadawala-Habarana-Thirukkondaiadimadu Highway, 50150 Sri Lanka
    After breakfast at the hotel explore the ancient city of Anuradapura.
    The city of Anuradhapura was the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka, and it is still a sacred Buddhist religious center. It lies around 200 kilometers (124 miles) north of Colombo, the current capital. Buddhist worshippers and pilgrims visit the well-preserved ruins of the temples and religious centers along the bank of the river Malwathu Oya year-round. The city is also home to one of the largest and most sacred Bodhi trees in Sri Lanka, believed to be a descendant of the Bodhi tree where Buddha was illuminated. Anuradhapura became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.
    Afterwards continue to Polonnaruwa.
    En route visit Minneriya National Park Safari. (Afternoon Safari)
    Minneriya National Park 8889 hectares in extent is famous for its large population of Elephants, reports of sighting range from 100 to a surprising 700 roaming in the jungle and seen in the catchment area of the lake. Entrance is at Ambagaswewa about 6 km from Habarana on the main Habarana Polonnaruwa road. There are endemic reptiles that dwell here are the salt water crocodiles, the Indian python, water monitor, Wild Buffaloes, Wild Boar, Spotted Deer, Sloth Bear, Sāmbhar, Leopards and Jackals. The national park’s faunal species include 25 species of mammals, 9 kinds of amphibians, 160 species of birds, 26 varieties of fishes, 78 varieties of butterflies are recorded from the Minneriya National Park.

    Day 4: POLONNARUWA – SIGIRIYA - HABARANA– Travel Time – Approx. 1 Hr.

    Stop At: Polonnaruwa, Polonnaruwa, North Central Province
    After breakfast at the hotel Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.
    After the destruction of Anuradhapura in the 1st century, Polonnaruwa became the second capital of Sri Lanka. The remains include Bhramanic constructions from the Cholas civilization as well as the garden city that was constructed on the site in the 12th century. Polonnaruwa is part of the Cultural Triangle, along with Anuradhapura and Sigiriya. This site was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.

    Stop At: Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
    Afterwards continue Sigiriya.
    Visit Sigiriya Fortress.
    The rocky outcrop of Sigiriya holds the ancient remains of King Kassapa’s palace from the 5th century AD. The top is reachable by stairs built on the side of the mountain and features the Lion Rock and the remains of the palace and fortress. Visitors will see the magnificence of the place when they reach the top, complete with a 360-degree view of the jungle below. The water reservoirs that collect rainwater are still there and in good condition. Sigiriya was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.

    Day 5: HABARANA – DAMBULLA - KANDY – Travel Time – Approx. 3Hrs.

    Stop At: Dambulla Cave Temple, Jaffna Hwy, Habarana 50150 Sri Lanka
    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Kandy.
    En route visit Dambulla Cave Temple.
    Dambulla Cave temple Located at an elevation of 1118 feet from the sea level raises a massive rock from the surrounding plains of Dambulla of 600 feet high and over 2000 feet in length. It is home to the World’s most acclaimed Cave complex of magnificent Buddha Images and Rock Paintings of vivid colours and shapes constructed and painted from around 2nd Century BC (Anuradhapura era ) and continued up to the Kandyan era of the 18th Century. Sinhalese people call it as ' Dambulu Gala' ( Dambulla Rock) and the Temple is called as the ' Rangiri Dambulu Viharaya' (Golden Rock Dambulla Temple).

    Stop At: Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
    Afterwards continue to Kandy
    Visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
    Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha's Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess' hair, the Relic has grown in reputation and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. Sri Dalada Maligawa “Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic” which house the most sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Historical procession called “Esala Perahera” is held annually during the month of July to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.

    Day 6: KANDY – COLOMBO– Travel Time – Approx. 3 ½ Hrs.

    Stop At: Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya Road, Peradeniya 20400 Sri Lanka
    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Colombo.
    En route Royal Botanical Garden – Peradeniya
    As Sri Lanka’s largest garden an elegant and spacious 147-acres (60-hectares) plenty of time is needed to stroll Peradeniya’s imposing Avenue of Royal Palms. There are some 4,000 different species of plants at Peradeniya Gardens. The 10,000 or so trees, which are the stars, are mature, lofty giants, many of them tropical timber trees. Highlights of the collection include the Giant Bamboo of Burma, capable of growing to 40 meters height (130 feet) with a 25-centimetre (10-inch) stem diameter. And it can grow by a rapid 30 centimeters a day (12 inches).

    Colombo City Tour – In the Evening
    Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square.
