  • Day 1: Visit to St. Panteleimon, Stobi ancient site and drive to Bitola

    Stop At: Church of St. Panteleimon, Nerezi village, Skopje 1000 Republic of North Macedonia
    Located high on Vodno mountain, this monastery is well preserved. Its most important and most famous frescoes are the Lamentation and Descending from the Cross, painted by local painters in 12th century.
    Duration: 30 minutes

    Stop At: Stobi, Sito Archeologico, Skopje Republic of North Macedonia
    The biggest Roman site in Macedonia dates from 1st century AD. Well preserved Roman amphitheater, unique mosaics, the Baptistery and many more makes this site most see.

    Stop At: Bitola, Bitola, Pelagonia Region
    The second biggest town in Macedonia, one of the most important cities during the Ottoman Empire, today a modern city where Ottoman architecture is combined with modern buildings.

    Heraclea Lyncestis is ancient Macedonian city located 2 km from Bitola. Founded in the middle of IV-th century B.C. by Philip the Macedon, Heraclea existed for over a millennium as an important strategic point.

    From the National Park Galicica stretch the stunning views of the Ohrid Lake and Prespa Lake. It is especially attractive for visitors to observe the two beautiful lakes at the same time. The landscape attractive, aesthetic and rare values also apply to the mountain characteristics Galicica owns.

    Stop At: Monastery of Saint Naum, Ohrid Republic of North Macedonia
    Situated near the place where river Black Drim flows into Ohrid lake, this monastery is simply a pearl of Ohrid lake. The original monastery church was erected by St Naum in 9th century.

    Day 3: City of Ohrid - Jerusalem on Balkans

    Stop At: Ohrid, Ohrid, Southwestern Region
    Because of the religious importance and its numerous churches and monasteries, Ohrid is also famous under the name “Macedonian Jerusalem”. According the history facts, there used to be 365 churches - a church for each day! In 12th century, the city was also the seat of Archbishop of Ohrid.
    Since 1979 the city and the lake of Ohrid are under protection of UNESCO.

    Stop At: St. Jovan Kaneo, Kaneo Plaosnik Pateka, Ohrid 6000 Republic of North Macedonia
    On a natural platform, upon a world of crags above Lake Ohrid, the church dedicated to the evangelist St. John the theologian stands on the most beautiful of the town’s spots, known today as Kaneo.
    Duration: 30 minutes

    Stop At: Plaoshnik, Ohrid Republic of North Macedonia
    The Holly area of Plaosnik is the place where the first Slavic university was established by St Clement at 9th century. The area is home of the remain of an early Christian basilica and now days the new St. Clement's church is built on remains of the old church from 9th century.
