Day 1: Waterfalls and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon
Stop At: Skogafoss, Skogar Iceland
Here you can walk from the car park to the waterfall (about 3 minutes by foot) where you can enjoy Skógafoss up close and even feel the mist on your face.

Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon appears before your eyes in great swathes of glittering blue and white. Your gaze follows the gradients of pale blue, turquoise, teal and deepest navy as you peer down into the crystal clear waters. You might recognize this otherworldly and achingly beautiful location from films such as Die Another Day and Tomb Raider.

Stop At: Guesthouse Gerði, Höfn, Iceland
Situated between the mountains and the ocean, Gerði is a peaceful place to explore the coast or hike around the other beautiful surroundings. Dinner is available for purchase at the hotel.
In the winter, if the skies are clear, the hotel’s rural location provides an ideal viewing spot for the Northern Lights if they appear.

Day 2: Ice Cave, Glacier Lagoon and back to Reykjavik
Stop At: Vatnajokull Glacier, Vatnajokull National Park Iceland
Travel by super jeep to Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. Hidden inside the glacier is a remarkable natural ice cave just begging to be explored. Gear up with crampons, helmets, and headlamps if needed (provided on site) before venturing into the ice cave.

Return to the Glacier Lagoon and enjoy the view of icebergs. You can also walk down to Diamond beach.

Stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, that you probably caught a glimpse of the previous day. If time and conditions allow, try to take the path behind Seljalandsfoss and marvel at the magnificent wall of water before you as you gaze out across the expanse of green meadowland and beyond to the sea.
