Padi Open Water Course
Paihia Dive is a Padi 5 Star Dive Centre in the Bay of Islands. We have been teaching Open Water Courses since 1978! So we know the best places for you to learn to dive. Padi is the largest and best training organisation for learning to dive. If you want your course to be recognised any were in the world, then a Padi Open Water Course is for you.
We do the course over 4 days. 2 days of theory and pool training, then 2 days of open water diving. This way you can get confident with your skills first in a safe environment before exploring the underwater would on your dive days. We have experienced safe instructors that love what they do. We have small groups on our course so you can take the time to learn and enjoy diving.
Some medical conditions do preclude you from scuba diving. You will fill in a medical disclaimer form, if you say yes to any questions then you will need to see a dive doctor to be cleared as fit for diving. This costs about $75.00 in Paihia, so we recommend if a medical is needed to see your GP.
