Small Group Evening Saigon Foody tour by Tuk Tuk
There are so many way to experience Saigon nightlife and the best thing to do is to join a street food tour like the way the locals do. While sitting on the back of a motorbike sometimes is too adventurous to some people who have never done it before, the foodie tour using a special tuk tuk vehicle is a perfect alternative choice for a wider view over the street and a close connection to the local lives. Daihatsu is considered as a “tuk tuk” in Vietnam which locals used to use for public transportation and the image of young ladies or school girls wearing beautiful Ao Dai sitting in a “tuk tuk” is very popular in 1980s. Nowadays, this type of public vehicle has been replaced so the tour also aims at bringing back these nice memories about old Saigon and offering an authentic local experiences. You will have chance to explore the city through its delicious street foods, meet locals and act like the way they do.

Your local guide will share with you the story about the Tortoise lake and its meaning with Nguyen Van Thieu President in 1975s.
At 6:30pm you will be collected by tuk tuk for seafood dinner with plenty of choices of snail, shrimps, crabs etc. Your tuk tuk will take you through the city from district 1 to district 3 where we stop by an authentic local bistro of snails & seafoods. There, you will be served the most popular street foods of Saigonese and enjoying a bottle of local beer the way that the locals do. You might also be challenged to eat some local food that you have never thought of for a good fun time.
After finishing your dish at 7:45pm, take a walk through the old condominium where you can see locals selling their home cooked food then get into the tuk tuk for next stop at night flower market where you will see tons of flowers from different regions of Vietnam. Here you will have a chance to have your third dish with Vietnamese pancakes. The taste of crunchy pancakes served with rice paper and vegetable in the bustling market environment will fill up your stomach in the delicious way. Then, the tuk tuk is waiting for you at the other side of market for the last but certainly not least interesting stop, sweet dessert.
The last stop will blow your mind with hundred kinds of deserts, from pumpkin flans, coconut puddings, ice-creams and much more. You will be free to choose anything you may want to try. If you are curious of the taste and smell of durian, this is also a perfect chance for you to try it. It is worth the effort.
