Tea Ceremony at World Heritage Himeji Castle - Once in a Lifetime Experience

-Within the grounds of Himeji Castle
Experience a traditional tea ceremony at a teahouse within Himeji Castle - Japan's first World Heritage Site and a National Treasure! First, guests wear traditional kimono - essential for a tea ceremony. In the world of the tea ceremony, incorporating the changing of the seasons is extremely important, so our team will ensure you are dressed in a kimono that suits both you and the colors of the season.
After donning your kimono, an English interpreter guide will take you to the teahouse and explain details of Himeji City and the history of Himeji Castle itself. When you arrive at the tearoom Ro-an, your instructor will give you a lecture about the tearoom and the historical background of the tea ceremony itself. After the lecture, it is time to experience the tea ceremony and for you to enjoy your own matcha tea and seasonal Japanese sweets. In addition, you can take a tea set back home as a gift.
