Yellow Water Cruise - 2HR - 6:45AM - Y1
The Indigenous owned Yellow Water Cruises take you on a discovery tour through the world famous Yellow Water Billabong. Operating year round, sunrise to sunset, the cruise winds its way through distinct ecosystems of Yellow Water Billabong and the South Alligator River.
Our experienced guides give fascinating insights into the abundant aquatic and bird life that inhabit the area. They also explain the Bininj people's use of the flora and fauna, and the rich history or Kakadu's wetlands.
Yellow Water Cruises focus on the wildlife and nature of the floodplain. Common sites are kites, white-bellied sea eagles, jabirus, brolgas, jacanas and much more. The waterways are teaming with saltwater crocodiles and can be spotted throughout the tour.
A complimentary shuttle bus departs Cooinda Lodge 20 minutes prior to cruise departure time. Alternatively guests can meet us at Yellow Water Pontoon 15 minutes prior to cruise departure.
During the green season (Nov-Mar) the departure point may vary with rising water levels. Please check with reception at Cooinda Lodge.
