The cool climate region of Canberra has some excellent wineries and cellar doors, including the much-loved Clonakilla - one of the earliest wineries in the region. Nearby is the Vintners Daughter, a small batch, husband and wife run winery.

Taste a delicate variety of the Hilltops region’s wines at Hilltops Region Wine Cellar within the historic Young Railway Station, which also serves up a beautiful selection of cherry wines and liquors. Discover Italian wine varieties at Freeman Vineyards, including their popular Rondinella and Corvina.
You’re spoilt for choice in the Hunter Valley, which has more than 150 cellar doors. Enjoy personalised wine tasting at Wombat Crossing Vineyard, or visit one of the largest cellar doors in the region at Brokenwood Wines.
Sample the signature brandy and delicious wine at Millbrook Vineyard Estate and Distillery, or if it’s organic wine you’re looking for, check out Krinklewood Biodynamic Vineyard and their beautiful Provencal gardens.
For a more unique experience, head to Hanging Tree Wines cellar door - it is located in a converted cowshed with gorgeous gardens that are home to the winery dogs – Vodka and Muscat.
Lowe Wines specialise in small-batch organic wines, which you can sample at their cellar door while admiring the views of the Mudgee’s beautiful landscapes.
Not only does the Blue Wren offer a Tasting Room and Cellar Lounge, but it also has on-site accommodation on its elegant farm property – choose from the farmhouse or luxury glamping tents.

Swinging Bridge Wines is a great spot to spend an afternoon sampling wine at their sit down cellar door tasting.
